Sign up for cross country

We are in the Hampshire league for Cross Country this year! There will be 5 events throughout the winter, the first is at Kings Park on 13th November. Men’s races are about 10k and women’s are about 6k. They are usually muddy and a lot of fun. Cross country is for all abilities, you just need to be an EA affiliated member to take part. For more information speak to one of the club captains (Steve W, Rachel, Mark E or Louise) and if you would like to add your name to the list to take part you can do so below (even if you are not sure yet, still sign up as we need to provide names ahead of time, even if some don’t then end up taking part!)

parkrun takeover – in memory of Steve Shuck and to celebrate our belated 30th birthday

On Saturday 16th October we are turning Bournemouth parkrun orange! In memory of Steve Shuck, and also for our belated 30th birthday. We would love as many Harriers as possible to get involved and help by volunteering on the day and wearing your club hoody, t-shirt of something orange. There will be cake, balloons and hopefully it will be a lot of fun. To volunteer, please contact Luke and make sure you let him know the role you want to do and your parkrun barcode number. Email bournemouth@parkrun.com with your barcode saying which role you would like to do on 16th, or message Luke directly.

Boscombe 10k – can you help?

From Debbie: On Sunday 28 November, Boscombe 10K is back! As with all events at the moment, we are taking the safety of runners very seriously. The extra precautions mean we need even more marshals than usual. If you can spare a couple of hours to help, we’d be really grateful. The race itself starts at 10.30 and there are all sorts of positions to fill. We do have the kids race at 9.30, too. There will be stuff to do in the stadium as well as marshalling the course. We are only a small club so do rely on friends, family and fellow runners to help us put on a safe event. Please can you email me directly at debbiedowsett50@gmail.com so I have your email address? If you have any special requests, if maybe you’ve helped before and are happy to do the same thing again, please let me know. We will do our very best to accommodate you. Thank you in advance. Debbie 😊
