Report of the 2009 Race
A total of
255 runners took part in the ‘new’
on
Sunday with local runner and recently married, Williard Chinhanhu taking
1st place. Poole Runners had an excellent turnout on the day,
the increasingly popular race attracted participants at all levels and
the day was a massive success…even the weather was on our side!
All four
runners in the Littledown Women’s Team had amazing runs, taking the 2nd
Ladies Team prize just behind Poole Runners. Well done to Emily, Vicky,
Hayley and Kathy.
Barry Light
gets a mention with a time of 36.14 completing all DRRL (and Club
Championship) races, so far this year.

‘Thank
you to everyone who turned up to run, marshal or just watch on the
day...everything went well and you all made it a successful race.
We've received several comments that all the marshals were supportive,
cheering the runners along the way which was much appreciated.
Thanks
also to the marshals from Bournemouth Joggers who helped out.
Please
let us have any feedback, good or bad as this will help us improve the
event for next year.
Many
thanks again’.
