Member’s Enclosure
We currently have 80 male (65%) and 43 female (35%) members*. In
these difficult economic times a healthy, growing club is something
we can all be proud of. With yearly membership costing a mere £25
(excl vest) that’s cheaper than a month’s gym membership. It
makes good sense and sound economics to keep fit and active with the
Harriers. New members also keep us vibrant, vigilant and on our
toes!
So
it’s Welcome
if you’ve joined us recently, get to know the other runners, our
experienced, friendly coaches and committee members we’re always
happy to discuss issues, listen to any new ideas or even any
grumbles you may have to assist or help improve your club.
Increasingly races are filling up early, so I’ve listed some
future local races that Harrier’s may want to consider entering.
Time permitting, I will add coming race details/links so check these
out at the end of each month’s Update. Let me know of any races you
would like me to add.

Well done to all those who ran the Blackmoor Vale Half, in great
conditions and with a good turn out on the day. It’s a hilly course
but I think we all enjoyed it, with some great times too. Just to let
you know what the girls were up to - Heather bought the girls in, won
her age category and led our
Ladies Team to the winning position
(along with Tracey and Hayley), great stuff! Tracey had a great run-in
too, just behind Heather, she even managed to run back down the hill
to cheer the rest of us in, thanks Tracey that gave us a really good
boost. We had a couple of ladies who were new to the club, well done
Louise (3 mins off last year’s time) and Naomi. Kathy had no sleep,
due to a delayed flight; she just came straight out to the run, bet
you slept well, Kathy!
