By far the club with the biggest turnout, we may not have won the team races but did well in the 3 legged race, tug-o-war and later on the dance floor.

Report: I realise there's been a few messages of congratulations to all involved in this years race, but wanted to also extend out my thanks as I was privileged to have experienced it from a runners perspective.  Other than it being extremely organised and marshalled, it was incredible to receive the level of support all around the course - although there was one point where the bloke running next to me begged me to go past him after hearing my name every 30 meters :)

Your support certainly spurred us all on, the ladies had a great race, winning the team prize, Emma the winning lady and Nikki finishing 3rd - and the boys were headed back by Adrian 11th overall and Greg 20th and together we grabbed another 3rd place in the County league! On behalf of all of us who ran thanks again to everyone for putting on a great race for us.    Cheers                                                                                                       Ben R - Men’s Captain

Report: WELL DONE TO OUR MAGNIFICENT 5 AT THE LITLEDOWN 5!! Many congratulations and extreme well dones to Emma for winning the ladies race overall! Superb! AND ...1st team..... Excellent hard work by all of you!

Brilliant runs by the other four ladies, of which the results were kindly emailed by Ben in my absence.... Nikki, Vicky, Helen and Caroline, what amazing times you all did.  We really do stand a great chance of winning the league this year, it may be very close, but we could make it!,  but if we don’t, I reckon we are causing a lorra lorra sweat from our friendly rivals.....and next year.....well...I reckons "our space" should be watched!!  Well done to you all and of course I’m sure those lovely marshals and your support team helped you through the pain!   I really did not like missing out.                                                                                                          Hev K Women’s Capt.

Report: Well New Forest was an amazing turnout of orange ladies...10 in the half and 7 in the full....I have taken the results from the website so if I have got the wrong names, times, missed anyone off, please let me know, but this is what I have come up with whilst sitting here resting my poor old sticks!!!!! (Yes, someone had to work last night having run the marathon!!!!!)

See above for times and placings.
However a special mention to:

Nikki Sandell ********* 1st ** superwoman!!  and 1st for age
Heather Khoshnevis    7th    1st F50
Nicky Findley              13th   1st F40
Michelle Carpenter     17th
(4 above scooped 1st team prize!!!!!!!)
 Linda Edwards           42nd
Serena Fooks             83rd
Janet Hooper              107th   2nd F60.

Once again we left our growing famous mark at this race, with 5 of us clutching various trophies to take home!!! Well done to each and every one of you.  The weather was perfect.  Looking at the times we all did, I’m sure you were all pleased and proud of yourselves.

Thank you to all Littledown supporters, bikes, and pedestrians and all those that stayed on to cheer us "Marathoners" in.  It really was appreciated. Well done to us all, and well done to the "male Harriers"....we await your times from Ben...I’m sorry not to have reported your times also, but my eyes are going all goggly just from the ladies results!!!

See you all soon, recover and rest well!!!!                                             Hev K Women’s Capt.

Report: Congratulations everyone that ran, and a massive thanks to all the supporters around the course.  Where do I start? Hmmm...  Let’s pick on Jim Cowdroy first!  As I was cheering on the runners at the finishing line - the time was creeping on.  The fear of being reunited with an angry Jim started building.  The regret of giving him a lift began to dawn on me.  Then suddenly just as I was bracing myself, I realised he was stood behind me.  Woo hoo - a happy Jim had just got a stonking new PB :)  And he wasn't alone.  Eugene bagged a PB in his first race in orange, and Peter Barton and Mike White had lightning quick finishes - haven't seen the photo's yet but almost certain yours will be blurred, and Sanjai had a flyer.   Well done Phil, Sanjai, Warren, Keith and Stew too.  Tough race I reckon, the only thing that kept me going was seeing the marathon's mile markers!  And on that note hats off to the marathoners.  Wayne another great run, 15th overall!  Congratulations Stephen Imm on your marathon debut, and also to the rest of the chaps for your achievements - Paolo, Steve Scally, Ade, Mark White and Michael Neal.  That was a warm day eh, and not the flattest of courses! Finally, been mentioned already by Heather, but great job ladies!
Cheers,                                                                                                  Ben R Men’s Capt
